a) normal self - your character is just your character. but in space.
b) captain space, defender of earth - or jupiter or krypton or tatooine or vulcan or you know whatever. you're a space hero defending the home planet from space.
c) generation shipper - you were born on a spaceship and you'll die on a spaceship because everyone is just always in spaceships. planets are for archaeologists and anthropologists and other nerds.
d) expanded universe-er - traveling from planet to planet is totally normal. your bff is from like 4 parsecs away nbd.
e) space marines - ...space marines.
f) troglodyte - somehow, everyone started going to space real casual and you missed it. find out what all the buttons do.
g) something else - hot alien babe? space pirate? asteroid miner? star fleet padawan cylon? the infinite expanses of space are the limit. because there is no sky in space.
what.
1) astral finale - time to go up into space for a boss battle in an amazing technicolor battlefield.
2) boarding party - ain't no party like a boarding party 'cause a boarding party don't stop! ...'til the other side surrenders.
3) death world - the ship's run out of fuel on perhaps literally the most dangerous, volcano-having, evil-monster-harboring planet in the known galaxy. have fun with that.
4) earth that was - [insert home planet here] was lost to [insert devastating thing here]. wander in space forever or find a new home for the survivors.
5) hurl it into the sun - you have a super important mission in space: destroy something in the nearest star without exploding yourself in the nearest star.
6) it's a small world after all - of all the galaxies in all the 'verses, somehow you only ever have awkward chance encounters with life forms you really don't want to.
7) lost colony - ohei we found that ship/colony/signal we thought we lost all those years ago. i bet nothing terrible will happen if we go investigate it now.
8) no gravity for you - sometimes things break in space. hopefully your spanner won't float away when the artificial gravity breaks.
9) planet looters - quick, defend your planet from the invaders here to take all your water/gold/sheeps! alternately: quick, jump in a ship so we can go raid that planet for all its water/gold/sheeps!
10) reentry scare - you should be slowing down. why aren't you slowing down.
11) space madness - been out here too long, man. things are getting real 2001: a space odyssey.
12) war of earthly aggression - time to space-maraud and conquer other planets. in the name of your planet, which makes it totally legit.
